A few days ago Antonia decided to treat herself to a new 3DS XL, specifically the limited Pikachu edition. I’m pretty jealous.

I used my tripod for this shot so I could get a decent exposure at a narrow aperture to get most of the device in focus. The scene is lit with our table lamp (and nothing else) which I always feels provides lovely lighting (this is the same set up as my photo of my MacBook Air). I then played around with the colours in Lightroom: I white-balanced for the table lamp (using the white of the 3DS as a reference point), dialed up the shadows and adjusted the saturation of the desk and Pikachu.

I’m sure I could’ve got more creative, but it was interesting to play around with getting the settings exactly how I wanted them.
