Best Wireless USB keyboard for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Wii U

Update: We don’t use this keyboard for Monster Hunter any more, but it is in use temporarily on one of our gaming rigs, and it works pretty well for that, too!

When my fianceƩ started to play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (MH3U) online, she decided she needed a USB keyboard to make it easier to communicate with other players.

USB keyboards are supported on the Wii U but the manual is light on details and it’s hard to find information about supported models, especially wireless ones.

In the end, we took a gamble and went for the Logitech K360 and it definitely paid off.

Note the patterning on the surface of the keyboard and the chiclet keys.

This keyboard works perfectly with the Wii U, no set up required. The tiny receiver fits in the front of the Wii U nicely though does mean you can’t close the flap. It’s better to plug it in to one of the rear USB ports to tuck it out of the way.

It’s nice and light and fairly compact, so you can easily have it on your lap. It has an interesting pattern printed on it which might not appeal to everyone, though there are a few choices of patterns/colours too.

I definitely recommended the Logitech K360 for MH3U players, this keyboard will also work with any other Wii U games that support a USB keyboard.

Nice knowing I can type with a keyboard instead of the Gamepad. I love the touch screen for playing, but I hate using pointer and touch for typing!
